Employment is a tool for personal development...perfect score received in corporate culture
Atomy is ranked second in the Small and Medium category of the 2022 list of the Best Workplaces in Asia recently presented by GPTW Korea. A good workplace is a company where employees show great dedication to their work thanks to a high level of confidence in supervisors and management, a deep sense of pride in their work and organization, and strong camaraderie among colleagues. The methodology is the same worldwide, whereby the trust index among employees and the corporate culture (culture audit) are assessed.
“Atomy is a global company that enables its employees to adequately demonstrate their capabilities […] Based on a management philosophy of respect for human dignity, it creates an outstanding workplace and contributes to global industrial development,” according to GTPW Korea CEO Ji Bang-geun.
A 67-question survey of 180 Atomy employees found that 98% of respondents “believe the workplace has special or unique benefits.”Furthermore, 97% are "proud of the social contribution made by their workplace,"and 95% believe that “management would only lay people off if absolutely necessary.” It scored 91% in the areas of care and personal duties.
On the culture audit, which assessed corporate culture, it achieved a perfect score. Atomy is a horizontal organization that respects the autonomy of each employee wherever possible, and where the culture is anchored in the company motto of “Cherish the Spirit.” This is clearly demonstrated in the Atomy Park company building. All employees can freely sit anywhere they want every day, in accordance with the open seating system, and the office is an open space without partitions, walls or even entrance doors. Employees are also encouraged to sharpen their professional skills through continuous improvement, so that each of them can contribute to company growth through personal development. Furthermore, the unpaid leave system can be used to encourage personal development, with an internal job market that enables employees to gain varied work experience.
Atomy CEO Han-gill Park emphasized that “employees are not tools for company growth, but the very purpose of such to begin with,” and that “Atomy firmly believes that employee growth is a company obligation and ultimately drives company growth.”
