Atomy announced that it would donate cash and goods, over 1.2 million USD worth, to projects for children who need care and protection.
Last month, Atomy started its Atomy Love-Sharing Project to donate 1% of its May sales. The project includes five activities: ▲vehicle support to Child Protection Institutes, ▲post-CPS independent-living support for adolescents, ▲financial support for establishing a child rehabilitation hospital, ▲support for child victims of sexual offense, and ▲sanitary product support for female juvenile victims of sexual exploitation.
An associate of Atomy noted, “Sharing is Atomy’s culture as well as calling and we expect the Atomy Love-Sharing Project to plant seeds for the bright future of children during these tough times due to COVID-19.”
▲ Vehicle support to child protection institutes
Child protection institutions are in charge of quickly taking measures to identify and provide protective custody and remedy to abused children, as well as preventing child abuse. Atomy plans to provide vehicles to be used by West Daejeon Dedicated Child Protection Institute for accepting child abuse reports and crime scene investigation, remedial counseling services, counseling families of abusers, Home Care Planner Supporters, and so on.
▲ Post-CPS independent-living support for adolescents
Post-Child Protective Service independent-living support for adolescents consists of two steps of providing education and supporting funds for independent living. The education includes ten sessions for strengthening household financial capabilities (6 sessions) and vocational education (4 sessions). The supporting funds are provided in the form of a 1:1 matching gift of up to 50,000 KRW a month for one year.
▲ Financial support for establishing a child rehabilitation hospital
Atomy is going to support funds for establishing a public child rehabilitation hospital. The Government is leading the child rehabilitation hospital building projects in three cities: the Metropolitan City of Daejeon, Chuncheon-si in Gangwon-do, and Jeonju-si in Jeollabuk-do. Atomy is planning to donate 1 billion KRW in support of the establishment of the Child Rehabilitation Hospital of Jeonju Jesus Hospital.
▲ Support for child victims of sexual offense
Atomy supports child victims of sexual offense for healing their mental and physical trauma and leading a normal life. This support consists of financial support programs along with psychotherapies and counseling programs for the selected victims through the sexual offense victim support center.
▲ Sanitary product support for female juvenile victims of sexual exploitation
Atomy will support a year supply of sanitary products to 840 female juvenile victims of sexual exploitation residing in the women’s rights centers in Korea. Atomy plans to help them alleviate their financial burden and secure their right to health.
